Always on My Mind (Christiansen Family Book 4) by Susan May Warren review and GIVEAWAY

I received this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

I waited months to read this book and it didn’t disappoint! I read late into the night so I could finish the story but was sad when it did. “Always On My Mind” is book 4 in the Christiansen Family series. They do not have to be read in order or read as a series, but the character relationships will make more sense if you do.

I have enjoyed this Family and series of books so much!! I even bought the books in paperback form so I could read them again (and not just on my kindle).

Casper returns home and finds out that the girl who he still loves- is pregnant. Raina is determined to take care of herself during her pregnancy alone and does not want any outside help, which is frustrating to read. Through prayer, family love, and support; Casper and Raina decide what to do about their relationship and about the pregnancy. This book was heart wrenching and emotional in several parts as the characters dealt with betrayal, love, grief and forgiveness. I cried a couple times during this book but I liked how it ended.

The story ends with their sister Amelia coming back into town which leads the way to book 5 which I can’t wait to read!!

Book Description
Publication Date: December 18, 2014
After a failed dig in Honduras, aspiring archaeologist Casper Christiansen heads home to Minnesota to face his unresolved feelings for Raina Beaumont, the woman of his dreams. But when he arrives unannounced on her doorstep, he receives the shock of a lifetime: Raina is pregnant with someone else’s baby.

Heartbroken, especially when he discovers the identity of the baby’s father, Casper tables his dreams and determines to be dependable for once, helping his older brother, Darek, prepare the family resort for its grand reopening. Casper longs to be the hero of at least one family story, but a never-ending Deep Haven winter and costly repairs threaten their efforts—and the future of the resort.

Worse, one of Casper’s new jobs constantly brings him into contact with Raina, whom he can’t seem to forget. A tentative friendship begins to heal fresh wounds, but can they possibly overcome past mistakes and current choices to discover a future together?
