Walk at Home *Miracle Miles* BRAND NEW dvd set by Leslie Sansone *Part 1 of 5*

I received my brand new Miracle Miles set on Saturday!

Over the next 2 weeks I will be posting pictures on Instagram and my review in FIVE parts (since there are 5 dvds in this set) here on my blog instead of posting one really long post!

On Saturday and Sunday, my 5 year old and I did DVD 1 which includes a 1 mile workout with Leslie, and 3 bonus workouts.

This is what the main menu looks like. I choose the “play” options on all the workouts because I wanted to hear Leslie’s instructions.

Here is what the mile 1 workout looks like. Leslie Sansone leads this workout alone.

WARM UP: 0:00-5:05
FAST WALK: 5:05-10:20
BOOSTED WALK: 10:20-12:15
MIRACLE MILES BAND: 12:15-15:15
STRETCH: 15:15-15:35

The Boosted Walk has HIIT (High intensity interval training) training meaning you do 15-20 seconds of jogging and then heel digs during the recovery phase.

The Miracle Miles Band is briefly used during the last session for chest presses and squats/punches.

The Walk Clock countdown starts at 10:00 and is displayed the rest of the workout on the bottom right. My son really liked this feature because visually he was able to see how much time was left for the workout.

The music on this entire dvd, including bonus workouts, is a great exercise beat through out-no words.

15 seconds is obviously not long enough for a cool down or stretch so that will need to be done afterwards if you are not doing another workout.

The NEW band is really cool!

It’s about 1/4 inch thick and stretchy with loop holes. There isn’t any difference using this new band versus a regular resistance band honestly.

HOWEVER, I like it better than a traditional band because this new band doesn’t make my hands smell or itch; you can use the loop holes to tighten the resistance; and I don’t have to worry about the band snapping back and hitting my son in the face (yes that has happened before with a traditional resistance band-OUCH!).

BONUS Upper Body Strength
8:30 mins long with Leslie only.

You do (4) upper body moves, multiple rounds, on both sides of your body.

Bicep Curls, 2 rounds
Tricep Kickbacks, 2 rounds
Chest Press, 2 rounds (1 round with a squat, 2nd round no squat)
Row, 2 rounds
and 1 more round of Bicep Curls to finish

Leslie recommends during this workout 2-3 times per week.

BONUS Lower Body Strength
5:55 mins long with Leslie only.

You do (3) lower body moves on both sides of your body.

Squats, 2 rounds
Plie squat, 1 round
Lunges, 2 rounds

Leslie recommends during this workout 2-3 times per week.

BONUS Full Body Strength with NICK DRAGO and group
1:30-7:00 mins (so basically 5.5 mins)

Bicep Curls (7)
Rows (7)
Tricep Kickbacks (7)
REPEAT this circuit on other side
Side to side standing crunch (8)
Front shoulder raise, then side shoulder raise (8)
Front shoulder raise, then side shoulder raise on the other side (8)
Chest Press with squat (8)
Good morning (8)

My 5 year old did this entire workout by himself using the band. Nick was fun and energetic.

OVERALL THOUGHTS:
Love this set so far! Love the band! I wish the cool down after mile 1 was longer and I wish the strength training bonuses were longer. I really enjoyed the music beat even though there weren’t any words. My son and I will probably fight over the band so hopefully she will sell extras in her store. 🙂 I can’t wait to try out the other DVDs in this set!
