February 11-17 workouts: Race Training for #brm26pt2 #runblueridge #triadventuremultisport

I’m currently training for my 10k race up Mill Mountain in April as part of the Blue Ridge Marathon race series; along with training for a 4 mile obstacle course family run at Claytor Lake.

This will be my second time doing the Blue Ridge Marathon race series and my first time doing the Claytor Lake obstacle course. I will be focusing on strength, stamina, and training up and down hills.

Sunday Feb 11:
Rest Day
Family walk outside in between rain showers

Monday Feb 12
Elliptical and upper body strength training circuits, followed by 1 mile Leslie Sansone Miracle Mile dvd.

Tuesday Feb 13
4 boosted miles Leslie Sansone dvd

Wednesday Feb 14
Rest Day

Thursday Feb 15
Taught (2) 35 min cardio classes, 1 class was HIIT-lots of sweat!!

Friday Feb 16
Body Pump strength training class at the gym with my oldest son.

Saturday Feb 17
3 mile Leslie Sansone Dvd

I was pleased with my race training this week. I had hoped to do a run up Mill Mountain with my friend, but it was rainy and cold on friday and saturday. Hoping for better weather next week!
