Abby Knightly is running away from her painful past and decides to drive to Wishing Springs Texas to start a new life. She meets Bo Monahan right away, one of the “famous” bachelor cowboys mentioned in Maggie’s article, after almost hitting his cow in the road. They immediately hit it off and become friends; but Bo questions her motives for being in their small town, and Abby questions whether she can trust her heart and care for anyone again. The family dynamics, struggles and relationships are fantastic and I loved reading more about the Wishing Spring neighbors mentioned in book 1.

I read the first “Four of Hearts Ranch Romance” book earlier this year and absolutely loved it! This second book was definitely just as good! They don’t have to be read in order, but since all the family members are mentioned in both books, the character development will make more sense if you do. I love Bo and Abby’s personalities and how they worked together to take care of others. They were both very caring and selfless. The author did very well depicting Abby’s inner turmoil and emotional pain from her past.

This was a clean, christian romance book with lots of laughs and emotional moments. 5 stars! I will be keeping this book on my book shelf to read again and again!

I can’t wait to read the last book-Kissed by a Cowboy-releasing early next year.
