If I want to be successful with my nutrition this week, then I know that I have to do some prep over the weekend.
First, I make a list of the foods that I need to get at the grocery stores so I can get the best produce and the best prices. I primarily shop at Sam’s Club, Aldi, Kroger and local farmers markets.
When I get home, I then make up a list of all of the foods in the fridge that have expiration dates and that foods need to be eaten within the week.
Then I figure out what days will be my low-carb days and my regular macro days based on my teaching group fitness classes at the gym.
*this week my regular macro days will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. My low-carb days/high fat days will be Thursday and Friday.
Lastly, I review the FASTerWay To Fat Loss weekly recipes suggestions and plug in my lunches and dinners on our family meal board.
Each morning I prep my food for the day AND log my food in my FWTFL app BEFORE I eat it. that way I know I am on count with my daily macros and can adjust things as needed.
Yes all of this takes time but what’s the alternative? I’m not a big fan of eating out all the time or waiting until I get hangry to decide what to eat. 🤣 I have found I am the most successful if I do my meal planning over the weekend and my meal prepping first thing every morning. It usually takes me less than an hour to log my food and make my meals for the day.
tonight before bed I made cookie dough overnight oats from this weeks recipe/menu suggestions. i’ll let you know how it turns out tomorrow!
