February 18-March 3 workouts: Race Training for #brm26pt2 #runblueridge #triadventuremultisport

I’m currently training for my 10k race up Mill Mountain in April as part of the Blue Ridge Marathon race series; along with training for a 4 mile obstacle course family run at Claytor Lake.

This will be my second time doing the Blue Ridge Marathon race series and my first time doing the Claytor Lake obstacle course. I will be focusing on strength, stamina, and training up and down hills.

Sun Feb 18:
Rest day.
Walked outside for about 40 mins with my family

Mon Feb 19:
30 mins of elliptical and lower body exercises using heavy hand weights. Followed by 30 mins of Leslie Sansone WalkStrong dvd using intervals of strength training and cardio.

Tues Feb 20:
Taught 50 min cardio class the library.

Wed Feb 21:
Typically a rest day but took a 45 min Walk outside at the park with friends

Thurs Feb 22:
50 mins doing Elliptical and Jessica Smith cardio boxing dvd

Fri Feb 23:
50 mins of cardio fast fitness walking Leslie Sansone dvd

Sat Feb 24:
Taught a 50 minute cardio & strength training (using resistance bands) class at the library

Sun Feb 25:
Rest Day

Mon Feb 26:
Day 1 of BodyBossMethod HIIT workouts

Tues Feb 27
Day 2 of BodyBossMethod workout which was to do any cardio. Taught a 50 minute cardio class at the library.

Wed Feb 28:
Day 3 of BodyBossMethod HIIT workouts and 15 min Leslie Sansone dvd

Thurs Mar 1:
Rest Day
Day 4 of BodyBossMethod

Fri Mar 2:
Day 5 of BodyBossMethod HIIT workouts (very short) followed by 45 mins of cardio fast fitness walking Leslie Sansone dvd.

Sat Mar 3:
Rest Day because I’m training up Mill Mountain with my friend tomorrow instead of today due to weather.

The weather has been really crazy here in southwest VA but we had some nice days so I tried to get some outside walking in during the nice days. Feeling strong and hoping to up my strength training and do some outside obstacle training.
