Thanksgiving morning my 5 year old, husband, and I walked our local “Drumstick Dash” which helps our local rescue mission. There are over 12,000 people who came last year and they said this year was even bigger!
We were towards the back after the runners, with the other walkers and dogs. It was really hard to keep any kind of good walking pace because of the thousands of people, but it was still fun! I think we will join the runners next year.
The weather was perfect and my son did so good!
And I earned my turkey 5k virtual race medal for the #goneforaRun #RunNowGobbleLater5k race by participating in this walk with my family.
I bought some medals from the Dollar Tree so I could give my son a Thanksgiving day race medal too. 😉
