Each Novella (short story) was as good as the last and ended with a happy sigh from me at the end of each one. I was only familiar with one of the authors (Jennifer Moore). I really enjoyed each Christmas story based in the regency time period and they were all well written. I loved the holiday stories, characters, and each individual story line. They were long enough to develop the characters and have a good story plot.

I wish I could tell you I had a favorite, but I enjoyed all 4 historical romance stories immensely and equally. If you love happy ending, Christmas Regency Romance stories; you will love this collection!

Cold Fear: (Cold Harbor Book 5) by Susan Sleeman

I have read books 3 and 4 of this series and loved book 5! WOW!! I absolutely LOVE LOVE this series and team!

There was alot of drama, suspense, and romance between the 2 main characters Leah and Riley. Leah and Riley have a past and they both have to figure out how to move past their feelings of anger and resentment towards each other so they can protect their loved ones against the person targeting Leah.

I highly recommend this book and series! The books can be read out of order. I can’t wait to read book 6 coming out in November.

I signed up for the Harlequin “Love Inspired Suspense” book subscription last month and received my first set of 4 books this past weekend. They are all dated “December 2018” on the covers.

I already read “Holiday Amnesia” by Lynette Eason a couple weeks ago when I got an advanced copy from NetGalley for review. (Spoiler: it was AWESOME!)

I’m familiar with authors Valerie Hansen and Margaret Daley so I’m looking forward to reading these books in my spare time (LOL-whats spare time?) Seriously though, I usually read almost every night and typically have several books to read and review each week; but I’ve been reading the Love Inspired Inspirational series off and on for years so I’m looking forward to getting a new collection of books each month. I find it easier to read paperback books than on my kindle which it why I ordered this subscription.

“The Lady of Astoria Abbey” by Anita Stansfield

This story was beautifully written!

I loved the main character Bess and her compassion and love for helping others. She was smart, caring, and just what her sick patient, Hugh, needed! I loved Hugh’s mother and her discernment in hiring Bess as his nurse.

I could feel the love, grief, and frustration the characters felt throughout the book leap through the pages. I cried…and read the book in one day because I couldn’t put it down.

Although this book is heartbreaking, the story and the characters are beautiful. Well worth reading… I Loved it!
