The only workout I did this week was on Thursday and I did the Flow workout which lasted 31 minutes. It was very nice and calming. I dimmed the lights and put on a sweatshirt and did the workout before bed. It was a gently stretching yoga type dvd.

Tuesday February 11:
SICK

Wednesday February 12:
SICK
Logged half of my food today.
Did 30 minutes of outside snow shoveling… not the smartest thing at 10:30pm at night but I was worried about my hubby getting home from work and getting into the garage. We are about to get LOTS of snow over the next 2 days-whoohoo!!

Thursday February 13:
SNOW DAY!!
Did Eccentric Lower this morning for 33 minutes. Did not wear my HRM. I love using the weights for this workout. It felt so good to get back to exercising!! My toddler joined me since we are all at home today.
Also did another 30-45 minutes of snow shoveling later in the day. No food logging today.

Friday February 14:
SNOW DAY!
Did Incinerator for 32 minutes burning 209 calories according to my HRM. My toddler joined me again.. he loves doing the P90x3 workouts with either myself or my hubby. We both especially love this workout because we use the Lebert Equalizer bars and hand weights and push up stands. He did the entire workout from start to finish with me. He is amazing-I’m so proud of him!!
Also did a 10 minute Chris Freytag “Get your body back” workout called Fat Blast Intervals-burned 121 calories in only 11 minutes-worked my butt off!! No food logging today.

Saturday February 15:
SNOW DAY!
Did Eccentric Upper this morning since I’ve missed doing it the last 2 mondays. It was a good workout-I like Eccentric Lower better though. I burned 151 calories in 32 minutes. My toddler was feeling sick again so I had him lay on the couch and watch me inside of exercising. We have all been sick the last 2 weeks and can’t seem to get better. (congestion, headaches stuffy nose, runny nose, cough etc) argh!
Then did a Barre workout dvd from a collection I got from QVC. I really liked it!! Will do a separate blog post about my barre workouts. I burned 209 calories in 48 minutes. I used 1 lb hand weights, yoga strap, lebert equalizer bars, barre ball and yoga mat.

Sunday February 16:
Rest Day

Week 6 pictures from this week:

I’m ready to start a great week 7 and hopefully won’t miss any workouts!!

how did you stay active all last week? Did you get lots of snow?

I have 4 race tickets up for grabs-2 individual tickets and 2 family edition tickets.

Last year I was able to do the family edition with my son and hubby in Richmond VA.

Here’s my race recap from last year:
http://crafts-n-fitness.blogspot.com/2013/10/pretty-muddy-obstacle-race-richmond-va.html

Heres some information about the Pretty Muddy race:

Pretty Muddy was started by a couple of businessmen who were inspired by their wives – their pretty cool wives. Watching their partners juggle kids, households, carpools and careers – while still having time for the occasional ladies’ night – got the men thinking:

These awesome women deserve more time for themselves. Time for balance and time to be themselves without their families. Because even the greatest mom, businesswoman or grandma sometimes needs time that is just her own.
Like those pretty cool wives, today’s women are looking for a way to get together and focus on friendship, fun and fitness – without their significant others, their kids and the stress of the daily grind.
With the help of their wives and an incredible team of creative and motivated people, the two businessmen created an inaugural series of events called Pretty Muddy.
More than a mud run, it’s an exciting women-only event where you can let your hair down and have fun! And that’s pretty awesome.
While Pretty Muddy will ALWAYS be about time with your girlfriends, Pretty Muddy Family Edition extends the opportunity to incorporate one of the most important aspects of your life, your family, into the action packed event!  We invite the kids, husbands, significant others, and your entire crew to hop in the last wave of the day for their very own epic muddy adventure.  From ages 6 to 96, everyone is guaranteed to feel like a kid (again), creating muddy memories that will last a lifetime.

Love Letter Collection-Timeless Romance Anthology Collection Review

My Review of Love Letter Collection-Timeless Romance Anthology Collection:

I liked the first story about Maggie and her long time crush on her friend. Its always hard to take that chance whether or not you will ruin a good friendship by telling that person your feelings. I loved how she tried to tell him and the end result. Great story!

The second story was my least favorite. It had swear words which were totally unnecessary and the whole story line didn’t really interest me. Wren’s story about completing her Grampa’s bucket list with his two friends.

I loved the third story. Full of funny and embarrassing misunderstandings between a teacher and principal notes-great love story-also about forgiveness and taking a chance on love.

The fourth story was about Shannon and Patrick in an older time period. Loved the story line and time period. The feelings of love and commitment were very real, and of course there were misunderstandings once they were finally reunited after months of writing letters.

Between the lines was fabulous!! Another story set in an older time period. Totally drawn into the characters and story line. I just loved that the two characters got to know each other thru letters-so sweet and great ending!

Blackberry Hollow was also fabulous and by one of my favorite authors. Story line had so much potential to be a longer book, but even with it being short it made sense, tied all the characters together, and was a sweet story! I loved the history of the two family houses and them getting to know each other.

I loved the last 3 stories the best and they had the potential of being longer stories. I love the timeless romance story collections!! I loved that all these stories were in various locations and time periods. Great clean romantic read! Can’t wait to read the next one this summer.

LOVE LETTER COLLECTION:

In MAGGIE’S SONG, a charming story by Karey White, Maggie Jensen is part of a trio of best friends with Lucas and Dan. Together, they own and run Wild Country Hiking Tours. When Lucas returns to the company after getting his college degree, Maggie realizes that the crush she had on him as a teenager has now blossomed into so much more. But Lucas still treats her as one of the guys, and Maggie worries that if she tells him her real feelings, their relationship will be damaged forever.

In JUST FLY, Krista Lynne Jensen’s captivating novella, Wren is faced with the devastating news of her grandfather’s death. But when her mom finds a mysterious letter from a woman named Dot in Seattle, Wren decides to visit the woman herself to deliver the news in person. Wren learns of the bucket list Dot and Gramps had put together with the help of Dot’s grandson, Seth, and Dot challenges Wren to take her grandfather’s place in completing the list. Before the week of adventure is over, Seth has impressed Wren in more ways than one. But is that enough to overcome Wren’s fear of losing those she loves?

HOW TO REWRITE A LOVE LETTER, an enthralling novella by Diane Darcy, high school teacher Julie Ashburn believes she’ll never live the “event” down in which she wrote her true feelings in a love letter to Principal Dane Parker, and he laughed out loud, mocking her. Now that her honors English students want to write love letters for the school fundraiser, Dane turns down the idea flat. Julie tries to convince him that it was her students’ idea and not any sort of payback. But when a student writes a fake love letter from the principal to Julie, everything gets even more mixed up, and both Julie and Dane are caught up in a series of misunderstandings that might be impossible to sort out.

In Sarah M. Eden’s delightful story, A THOUSAND WORDS, Shannon Ryan has been waiting half a year to be reunited with her fiance, Patrick, with only the letters between them keeping their relationship alive. He finally sends for her after securing a good job with the Sidney newspaper, and she can’t wait to be reunited with him, swept up in his arms and thoroughly kissed. And of course, married as soon as possible. But when she arrives at the train station, there is no Patrick waiting for her. Shannon must discover if the man she loves still has feelings for her.

BETWEEN THE LINES is a sweet romance by Annette Lyon. Jane Martin is intelligent but extremely shy, especially around men. When the Aid and Cultural Society proposes a letter-writing program, Jane signs up, hoping she can find true friendship. The program doesn’t run as smoothly as expected, and unknown to Jane, one of the men in her city becomes her writing friend. Thomas Allred has always known shy and quiet Jane, but reading her letters written to his secret persona, opens his eyes to what an amazing woman she is. The only trouble is, Jane doesn’t know that the man who she is falling in love with through letters is also Thomas, the man who is falling in love with her in person.

In the enchanting novella, BLACKBERRY HOLLOW, by Heather B. Moore, Lucy Quinn travels to England to inspect her inherited estate. What she doesn’t expect is Calvin Bevans, the man living next door. The two families have been divided by a misunderstanding decades old, and when Lucy discovers a set of love letters, she learns the truth. As Calvin helps her unravel the hidden secrets between the two families, Lucy finds that she has more reasons to stay in England than to return to New York. And Calvin is at the top of her list.
