MY REVIEW

Great characters and steady, interesting story plot that kept my interest from beginning to end. There were alot of (non graphic) action and suspense which kept me on the edge of my seat. I liked the ending and that it wasn’t predictable.

I liked getting to know Jude, Seth, Felicity and Nora throughout and their interactions with each other. Great holiday book about love, forgiveness, second chances, faith and family. I have read the other Desert Justice by this author and have enjoyed them as well.

I would recommend this to anyone wanting a quick, easy to read, suspense book!

I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

More from Dana

Well here we go! Book five in the Desert Justice series features Nora (Chief Jude’s estranged sister), a wild donkey who needs rescuing, and a crime from the past that intrudes into the present. Twisty, right? I was inspired to write this story after visiting Death Valley and learning about the feral donkeys which inhabit the region. They’re cute, visitors love them, but the burros can encounter health problems and cause environmental damage if they aren’t settled into a safe area. It’s amazing to me that wild donkeys are adept at detecting underground water sources. They dig “wells” which can benefit many thirsty animals. Fascinating, right? Hope you’ll enjoy meeting Bubbles the donkey and the helpful humans who rescue her in this novel. God bless and thanks for reading!

MY REVIEW

“The Secret Garden” is beautifully written devotional with unique artwork. It’s been a long time since I read The Secret Garden novel but after reading this devotional I’ve been inspired to read it again.

Each chapter includes a brief recap from the fictitious novel, quotes, scripture references, spiritual thoughts, personal application, and then ending with a prayer for the day. There are 30 total chapters corresponding with the chapters of the novel which makes this a 30 day devotional.

I enjoyed reading the welcome chapter at the very beginning of the book. The author shares that she received a copy of The Secret Garden from her grandmother in fourth grade and that she loved it immediately and continued to read it into adulthood. I love how she uses scriptures and the analogy of God being our gardener and we as his children are the garden.

I have read other devotions by this author and she’s done a wonderful job with all of them. Highly recommend!

I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

Sundown (Sky King Ranch Book #3) by Susan May Warren

Sundown (Sky King Ranch Book #3) by Susan May Warren

This was such an amazing book and series! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the Kingston Brothers in this Sky King Ranch series of three. This series is a keeper for my bookshelf to be read again and again!

This book primarily focuses on Colt and Tae, but of course included the other Kingston brothers and previous characters from the other books. This Christian fiction had lots of action, drama, and some clean romance that kept my interest from beginning to end. Bio chemical warfare, assassins, and danger at every turn-once you start reading, you won’t want to stop! I enjoyed seeing the three brothers evolve in their relationships, forgiveness towards each other, allowing love into their lives, and realizing they aren’t invincible.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND-I truly can’t say enough great things about this book and series! I have been reading books by this author for many years and she has never disappointed me!

I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

ABOUT THE BOOK
Former Delta Operative Colt Kingston knows when someone is lying. He may not know the truth, but he sure doesn’t trust Tae, the woman who is caring for his ailing father at Sky King Ranch. Behind those beautiful blue eyes, he can tell there is a troubled–and smart–woman.

A few of her stories prove true–he’s found the crashed plane and the dead body inside. Still, her story of survival seems too incredible to believe . . . until the thugs she claims to be hunting her show up and threaten Sky King Ranch. Now Tae must disappear, along with her secrets.

But Colt’s not about to let her go it alone. And when they discover that her secrets include the antidote to a plague that threatens the world, it’ll take all three Kingston brothers to save the country they’ve vowed to protect.

Susan May Warren brings her Sky King Ranch series to a climactic close with this high-stakes race against the clock.

“Body of Evidence” (Triple Threat) by Irene Hannon REVIEW

“Body of Evidence” is book 3 in the Triple Threat series.

This story included a lot of suspense, clean romance, interesting characters, and a steady pace that kept my interest from beginning to end. I liked Grace’s determination to pursue her questioning regarding some suspicious deaths with older residents in her community. She didn’t give up despite threats against her. Grace and Sheriff Nate worked well together on her cases and I liked seeing their friendship grow. It was also interesting to learn about Grace’s job profession and what is involved in examining deceased bodies.

I didn’t figure out who the “bad guy” was until almost the very end when they were exposed. I liked the suspense and twists and turns in the story. Highly recommend !

I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Forensic pathologist Grace Reilly has seen her share of unusual deaths in rural Missouri. But when she begins to notice a curious pattern in autopsies of elderly residents whose demise appears to be natural, she takes her concerns to Sheriff Nate Cox.

Nate is skeptical about the link Grace is seeing between the deaths–and her suspicions of foul play. But her persistence is compelling. Once she finally convinces him her theory is credible and they join forces to investigate, danger follows. Because exposing the truth could destroy several lives–including Grace’s.
