Cassey Ho’s Hot Body Year-Round: The POP Pilates Plan to Get Slim, Eat Clean, and Live Happy Through Every Season

Since I have been following health and fitness websites for a couple of years now, I have heard of Cassey Ho but hadn’t tried any of her workouts. I was excited to receive this book for blog review and immediately started reading it. I was touched by Cassey’s story in the preface, which made her more inspiring and personable to me. She did an OUTSTANDING job on this book! The pages are thick and glossy; with colorful, bright exercise and recipe pictures. I can’t believe the retail of this book-it’s worth way more than $18!

Part 1 of the book talks about “The Plan”. She included a beginners workout calendar as well as an intermediate to advanced workout calendar. You do not need any equipment for her workouts except a yoga mat if you would prefer. She explains the common POP Pilates Vocabulary and what each word means (for example what a pilates C-curve is). She talks about clean eating and shares her typical daily meal plan. She talks about how much water to drink and goal setting.

Then she moves to Part 2 which is called the seasons. There are 4 sections-Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Each seasons section has 5 workout, and each workout has a couple exercises with very good descriptions and pictures. She also shares seasonal recipes and pictures for each season. Like I said, they did a beautiful job with all the pictures in this book!

I was a little confused by the book description online that states this book has 20 full length workouts. There is no dvd that comes with this book. The book has all the workouts and exercises so you can follow her suggested calendar on page 18.

This book has 255 pages in it and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting ideas for fitness workouts and eating clean.
