ScriptureDoodle: A Six-Week Devotional Experience by April Knight
Scripture doodle is a six week coloring devotional. I love how the author explains some things in the first part of her book; like how to use the book, basic materials that you’ll need, lettering tips, different ways to doodle and shade, etc. Of course you can just simply get a coloring book to color or doodle in.
But this scripture doodle book is so much more than that! It is a six-week devotion and creative worship activity book. This book progresses with simple coloring and doodling to doing full-page doodles by the end of the book.
She includes a table of contents at the beginning of the book. Some of the pages include rest (my favorite!) be positive, the armor of God, speak life, Etc.
I used Crayola colored pencils in my book.
I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
ScriptureDoodle God’s Promises: A Six-Week Devotional Experience by April Knight
This scripture doodle focuses on Gods Promises as the theme for this six week devotion. The author has picked various Bible verses and stories of God’s faithfulness. It is similar to her other doodle book pictured above. She includes the same couple pages of tips like how to use the book, coloring tips, lettering tips etc.
I like that these scripture doodle books are completely different than the traditional adult coloring books, or even other Christian coloring books I have used and reviewed so far.
This scripture doodle does not focus on elaborate coloring and intricate designs. Instead it uses the same concept of the art of coloring and the reflection and peacefulness that brings, along with reflecting on scripture references and spiritual thoughts.
