The goal of this program is to provide four simple yet comprehensive stretching sessions in various positions (standing, on the floor or in a chair) to use throughout your day or week to release tightness and imbalances in the body for pain relief and prevention, better posture and alignment, and enhanced exercise performance.
This DVD includes four complete stretching sessions:
#1: Standing [Against the Wall] Stretch (22 Minutes) incorporates full-body stretches enhanced by the support of a wall to provide you with a tool to position your body for a deeper, more encompassing stretch. This session can easily be done on its own, but it’s also a helpful release after a workout..
#2: Floor Stretch (25 Minutes) makes relaxing even easier since there’s no need to get up and down off the ground to get into various positions. Feel free to use this session anytime, especially first thing in the morning or just before bed.
#3: Chair Stretch (11 Minutes) is a short but sweet way to get a total-body stretch without having to leave your chair, making it a helpful tool if you’ve been working long hours at your computer or just need some extra help releasing and realigning tight muscles.
#4: Express [Post Workout] Stretch (5 Minutes) is perfect for a short but effective full-body post-workout stretch.
EQUIPMENT USED: A mat or towel is all that is required for floor sessions, and a sturdy chair is needed for the chair stretch. (It can also be used for some additional modifications, and a small soft pillow may be added to bolster some of the poses, if desired).
