Week 9 of “The Great Walk 100 day Summer Challenge” video suggestions

Welcome to week 9 of “The Great Walk 100 day Summer Challenge” from 7/24 – 7/30.

Remember: Our goal is to be consistent so even if you can’t do 100 days of walking in a row, do the best you can and listen to your body.

If you CAN do a walk every day, it is VERY important that you mix it up by doing gentle walks, longer walks, shorter walks, indoor walks, outdoor walks, etc.

    Last day of July. Wow. I hit my 100 miles this week. Feels so good to do these workouts every day. Thank you all for encouragement and Rachel especially.

    Today was a fun day. Went to Natural Bridge and walked under bridge and to
    Waterfall. Had picnic lunch and then did BlueRidge Trail.
    Lots of fun things at this State Park. We hike 6.8 miles.

    July 27- Been a little challenging this week with arthritis issues and now I am dealing with eczema that is driving me crazy. Hoping being in water will not make eczema worse. I press on and try to slow down some. Yesterday, I did a tabata and some back stretches, and today I did a 1 mile gentle walk. Looking forward to seeing you again soon in Roanoke.

    Good day went for short walk between rain and work this morning. Went for after
    Dinner walk with Alan. I walk total 3.5 miles today.

    July 25- Just finished medicine ball workout 1 mile walk. A little bummed. Having trouble again with fingers. Waking up with them almost locking. I had to have a shot last year. I have researched and weights can cause this. I figured with medicine ball not having to grip the same. I am going to research for more strengthen training exercises at home without weights. I love weights, but I will look for alternatives for now. Using the gloves for resistance in the water exercise. Trigger finger and weights are related. Hope you have a safe trip home next week. Keep walking strong!

    What great Sunday! Started day worshiping at FCC North and going for afternoon hike
    at Timberview Area at Carvins Cove. We went for 4 mile hike enjoying all the beautiful
    Nature and time alone.

    My workout was Fabulous 50 ~ 2 mile walk far burning. I am enjoying this walk challenge 100 days. This first time doing a walk 100 days challenge. I am having fun.
