MY REVIEW

I have always loved the story of Esther in the bible, so I was excited to read this new “Queen Esther’s Court” series.
This rich historical fiction drama is set in Ancient Persia and follows the fictitious story of Roxannah who becomes one of Queen Esther’s cooks in the palace. I like that the chapters alternate between Roxannah and Adin’s point of views, who is the local physician and her friend.

Roxannah has to prove herself to the other cooks in the kitchen as the new girl, but along the way finds her place with the others and her faith. I loved reading about all the mouthwatering recipes she made throughout this book. It made me so hungry!
