She meets her neighbor (former NYPD) Maxwell and his canine dog Gus along the way and decides to give him a chance.

Both Brenda and Max had learned the hard way that sometimes people will disappoint you in life. But we cannot control what others do, we can only control our response and keep our focus on God. I really like that!

This action packed suspense story had twists and turns at every time, keeping my interest from getting to end. Amazing and strong characters with an intriguing storyline. Once I started reading, I didn’t want to stop!
