MY REVIEW:
Owen McCaw and his baby daughter return to his family Triple C Ranch in Serenity, Texas for the fifth and final installment of this series. Owen is reunited with high school girl friend Brenna when Owen‘s mom asks them to co-lead summer camp.
Owen is dealing with guilt and grief over his wife Willow‘s death and raising a daughter alone; and Brenna is trying to heal from a traumatic home invasion attack with the help from her support dog, Lulu.
They both have to look past themselves in order to serve the campers and be a support to each other and Owen’s mom.
Brenna was not my favorite character to be honest, especially in the beginning of the book. I did not like how she was rude and dismissive to Owen and how she expected everyone to cater to her feelings of fear and inadequacy.
Overall though I enjoyed the storyline, Triple Ranch C setting and characters Owen and his mom.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions and views expressed are my own.
