“On a Summer Tide” by Suzanne Woods Fisher

On a Summer Tide (Three Sisters Island Book #1) by Suzanne Woods Fisher

I really enjoyed this story and hopefully the start of a new series! I can’t wait to read more!

The story alternates between the father and his 3 daughters point of views of the current happenings on the Island and their lives. I really liked how the story was written and how it flowed. Great, steady pace with interesting, fun characters. I loved the description of the Island and some of the Islanders like Peg and Seth. I hope there will be more books in this series so I can read more about the camp’s growth and the sisters lives and what they choose to do.

This christian fiction and romance book focused on mending relationships, discovering purpose and direction in life, and love and forgiveness. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend!

Cam’s full-throttle life skids to a stop when her father buys a remote island off the coast of Maine. Paul Grayson has a dream to breathe new life into the island–a dream that includes reuniting his estranged daughters. Certain Dad has lost his mind, the three sisters rush to the island. To Cam’s surprise, the slow pace of island life appeals to her, along with the locals–and one in particular. Seth Walker, the scruffy island schoolteacher harbors more than a few surprises.

“Daisies and Devotion” by Josi Kilpack

Daisies and Devotion (Proper Romance Mayfield Family Regency) by Josi S. Kilpack

This is the second book in the “Mayfield Family series” and I enjoyed this one just as much as book 1. Typically I find the Regency period a little boring but I was pleasantly surprised with book 1, so I didn’t hesitate to read this story and I’m glad I did!

Timothy and Maryann were great characters and I loved their friendship and banter back and forth. I liked how Maryann kept challenging him and kept him on his toes which was rare during that time period-for women to speak their mind and have an opinion. It was fun to read their different courting catastrophes and the dating etiquette and expectations in that time period.

Peter and Julia are mentioned (from book 1) in the last part of this story, so it was great to hear how their marriage was progressing.

I really enjoyed reading this story and series-highly recommend!

I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

About the Book:
Timothy Mayfield is ready to marry for love, but since his personal finances are thinner than he’d like, he knows he’ll also need a wife with wealth. After receiving an unexpected inheritance, Timothy’s circumstances change, and he is free to pursue his “perfect woman”—one with blonde hair, blue eyes, a light laugh, arched eyebrows, elegant fingers, and a dazzling smile, among nearly twenty other characteristics.

Maryann Morrington doesn’t match anything on Timothy’s list—except for wealth. An heiress in her own right, she is tired of men pursuing her only for her money. But at nearly twenty-two years old, and not a particularly stunning beauty, she can’t be as picky as her friend Timothy is.

The two friends end up playing matchmaker for each other. Timothy will find a decent gentleman for Maryann, and Maryann will prove to Timothy that his “perfect woman” doesn’t exist.

Until Miss Shaw comes to London.

Now, with Timothy’s heart captivated by the blonde, blue-eyed beauty, Maryann must decide if she should risk her heart and reveal her true feelings for her friend, or if she should settle for someone else. It’s an up-and-down game of “he loves me, he loves me not,” with both hearts and friendships on the line.

“HERS TO PROTECT” by Catherine Lanigan

MY REVIEW:
I really enjoyed reading this book about Violet and her determination to be a good police officer and contribute to the team. I haven’t read any other books by this author or the “Shores of Indian Lake” series, but I felt like this could be read as a stand alone book. I enjoyed the small town feel of the characters and setting. I liked seeing the change that race car driver Josh made during this story with his priorities about career and family. Josh and Violet were great main characters and I really enjoyed the story line and steady pace. Easy to read story with some police drama and clean romance.

“Her Oklahoma Rancher” (Mercy Ranch) by Brenda Minton

Her Oklahoma Rancher (Mercy Ranch) by Brenda Minton
The story was good but wasn’t one of my favorites to read from Love Inspired. I’m not sure why I had a hard time getting into the story line and characters even though I read the entire book.

I liked how Eve and Ethan rallied together to figure out how to care for Tori after both being named her guardian. Tori was such a sweet girl!

I really enjoy the Love Inspired books because they are easy to read with good characters and clean romances. If you like the Mercy Ranch series or books by this author, I think you would enjoy this one as well!

“The Cowboy’s Perfect Match” (The Sweetheart Ranch) by Cathy McDavid *review & giveaway*

The Cowboy’s Perfect Match (The Sweetheart Ranch) by Cathy McDavid

MY REVIEW:
I really enjoyed this sweet, cowboy story with Ryan and Bridget! I loved reading about the day to day operations of the family ranch and Ryan’s house swapping. Bridgets family was alot of fun (especially her grandmother!) and I really liked the setting of “The Sweetheart Ranch”. The author painted such a great picture, I could imagine I was there with the guests!

I can’t wait to read the next book in this mini series (coming in Nov). I also liked reading the developing romance between Bridget and Ryan as they work together on the ranch and the complications of having certain expectations in a relationship.

Easy to read, great characters and setting, clean romance-highly recommend!
