In Too Deep (Dive Team Investigations #2) by Lynn H. Blackburn

In Too Deep (Dive Team Investigations #2) by Lynn H. Blackburn
I read book 1 and was really excited to read book 2 in this series! I loved the main characters Adam and Dr. Sabrina Fleming in this book. I also liked that previous characters Leigh and Ryan were mentioned as well. I really like the Dive Team and how they work together to investigate and solve crimes. I find their work very interesting.

This story had a great, steady pace of drama and intrigue all throughout. It was totally unpredictable, which kept me on the edge of my seat. Clean, Christian story with elements like faith and love.

I absolutely can’t wait for book 3 and I hope it involves Gabe and Anissa. I highly recommend this series and this book!

About the Book:
When the dive team is called in to recover a body from a submerged car, they aren’t prepared to find an encrypted laptop–or an unsettling connection between investigator Adam Campbell and the dead accountant.

Adam turns to his friend Dr. Sabrina Fleming–a professor at the local university with unparalleled computer security and forensics skills–to recover the files from the laptop. But the deeper they dig, the deadlier the investigation becomes. When evidence uncovers a human trafficking ring and implicates members of Adam’s own family, he and Sabrina will have to risk everything to solve the case.

The truth could set hundreds free–but someone is willing to do whatever it takes to silence anyone who threatens to reveal their secrets. Award-winning author Lynn H. Blackburn invites readers back to Carrington, North Carolina, where everything is not as it seems and sinister elements lurk behind the idyllic façade.

The Midnight Groom: Last Play Christmas Romances by Taylor Hart

The Midnight Groom by Taylor Hart

How much would you bet on true love this Christmas season?

After the worst year of his life, Cameron Cruz, owner of the Denver Storm, agrees to a family Christmas cruise with his twin sister and her family. Sure, maybe part of the reason he agreed to go was because it got him out of court mandated therapy for a week. Still, he was trying to focus on relaxing. He was trying to focus on having fun. He was trying not to look at the reports that came everyday from the private investigator’s he’d been hiring and firing for the past year to bring justice to the man who killed his wife.
Isabel Kind was only on this Christmas cruise for one reason–to heal. After tragically losing her husband and son five years ago, she’d been stuck. And she and her therapist thought doing the list of excursions they’d planned to do as a family–might help her move on. When she sprains her ankle and Cameron Cruz offers to help her, she finds herself accepting.
After reluctantly getting piggy backed around by the amazingly strong and handsome man, swimming with the sting rays, and zip lining through the Honduran jungles, she is more and more mystified by this troubled man. Even more mystified that he’s not only helping her physically but he’s also trying to help her emotionally–even if, as he says, he can’t heal himself.
When bad news comes to light and Cameron has to face the past, they are left with a choice–walk away or let the power of grace make them whole.

Praise for The Midnight Groom

Grief is real and hard. Taylor Heart does a beautiful job of honoring that pain while showing us Cameron’s way through it. Their story is beautiful with just the right amount of laughter and hope and, as always, grace. A perfect read when you want to cuddle up with a story that will fill you with peace.

The Midnight Groom is a wonderfully entertaining love story that will inspire you to be a better person!

I thought the struggle and the healing felt real. This book was a roller coaster ride for my emotions.

Horse Gentler in Training (Winnie: The Early Years Book 1) by Dandi Daley Mackall

Horse Gentler in Training (Winnie: The Early Years Book 1) by Dandi Daley Mackall

My 8 year old said this book was “exciting and fun”. He learned that the Horned Lizard is the Wyoming state reptile. He also learned that horses can not move in their stall if they are cross-tied. He said this book was easy to read and he really liked it, especially because it was about horses.

I love that it has a Christian aspect and that it has education aspect like including horse terms and breeds at the end of the book.

He can’t wait to read more books in this new series!
