My son was so excited to get this book! He loves journaling, reading and writing.

There are 365 questions with spaces underneath for the child or adult to write the answer. There are 3 lines with the date to fill in so you can use this book for 3 years. It will be interesting to see how my son’s answers will change over the years with answering the same question on the specific day for 3 years in a row.

Great idea for a parent and child to get a few mins of quality time together each day. Love it!

“The Shipbuilder’s Wife” by Jennifer Moore

Lydia Prescott is a debutante from a large plantation in Virginia where one day she meets Jacob Steele and Alden Thatcher at her parents party. She had hoped to catch the attention of Jefferson Caraway who had a very large cotton plantation close by and who would make the perfect husband. However, as the story unfolds, Lydia’s life takes many unexpected turns.

The story is set in 1812 at the beginning of the war between England and the US. This book has adventure, clean romance, great characters and an interesting plot. I really enjoyed it!

“Formula of Deception” by Carrie Stuart Parks
I have never read anything by this author but I was intrigued by the book description and beautiful bright book cover.

Steady plot pace, lots of suspense and drama, and twists in the story I didn’t even see coming! Our bodies and minds are very complex and powerful, especially after experiencing something big and dramatic.

The story was rich with WW II history which was really interesting to read. Overall I liked the book and couldn’t stop reading it until the very end, but some of it seemed unrealistic and over the top.
