I loved reading the introduction to this book and the differences between the 3 books this author has written: Defined by Christ, Refined by Christ and now Aligned with Christ. “In the following pages you will discover hope and guidance-not from me, but from the teachings of the Savior- on how you can align your life with His will…” The author spent over 4 years studying to write this book as a “guide to remind us what we can and should do to stay in tune with His Spirit and will for our lives.”

This book was wonderfully written and includes practice advice, scriptures and stories. I found it very uplifting and enjoyable to read. She focuses alot on attitude, belief, our words, focusing and taking action. I highly recommend reading it!

“Short Investigations” by Clair M. Poulson

I have read several books by this author, but I had a hard time getting into the storyline of this book. The book description sounded great but I had a hard time taking the main characters Max and Peaches seriously because I felt like their names were silly-like a joke. I also felt like the main character Peaches was pretty juvenile when dealing with their client Rhett who was being charged for murder.

This book wasn’t for me, although I’m sure it will appeal to some. Like I said, I have read several books by this author in the past and have absolutely loved them. Hopefully I will enjoy the next book better than I did this one.

My son (age 8) LOVES this series because it’s a fun to read, action packed adventure with Peter and Mary. He has read all of them so far. He said his favorite part of this book is “when the walls of Jericho fell down”. He finished the book the first day and has read it several times since then.

As a mom, I love that these chapter books are age appropriate, I don’t have to preview the content before he reads it, and it reinforces bible stories that he learns at church.

The author does a great job bringing bible stories to life and making it a fun adventure for kids! Geared towards ages 6-9. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this series!
