My son (age 8) LOVES this series because it’s a fun to read, action packed adventure with Peter and Mary. He has read all of them so far. He said his favorite part of this book is “when the walls of Jericho fell down”. He finished the book the first day and has read it several times since then.

As a mom, I love that these chapter books are age appropriate, I don’t have to preview the content before he reads it, and it reinforces bible stories that he learns at church.

The author does a great job bringing bible stories to life and making it a fun adventure for kids! Geared towards ages 6-9. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this series!

I love this author and have read almost all her books! Including the other Lavender Tide novel but they can be read as stand alone books.

I was excited to read another Lavender Tides novel and this one didn’t disappoint! Steady pace with lots of drama, romance, mystery and suspense. WARNING: Do not start reading this book if you can’t finish it right away. It is so good you will not want to put it down until you are finished!

I really liked the main characters Ellie and Grayson! Lots of intrigue and twists and turns during this story. Great christian themes through out like God’s grace and forgiveness. This is a book that I will keep on my bookshelf to read again and again.

“Anna the Prophetess” by H.B. Moore

I am a huge fan of biblical fiction books and this story was even better than I thought it would be. I didn’t really remember Anna from the Bible (known as Hannah in the New Testament) so I was excited to read this book. Since there isn’t alot mentioned about her, obviously the author has to take liberties but I love how HB Moore described the people and events during this time period.

The story came alive for me and I absolutely LOVED the character Anna! Most of the book was spent on her early life, but also included chapters in the beginning and end of her present day and telling her story to her great-niece Julia.

Wonderful story and characters! I loved the romance, customs and seeing the signs of Christ’s birth thru the eyes of Anna and her family members and friends. I truly can’t say enough good things about this book. I read it in one day because I was so caught up in the story that I didn’t want to stop reading.

“The Love Letter” by Rachel Hauck

I enjoyed this book alot more than I thought I would! The chapters alternated between the story of Chloe and Jesse during present time, and the story of Hamilton and Esther in the 1800s around the revolutionary war time.

Jesse is an actor and screenwriter and feels compelled to tell his ancestors story after finding a love letter centuries later. After reading the script, Chloe jumps at the chance to be the leading lady. I really liked both their personalities and how they got to know each other better-and their faith in God-by the end of the book.

This story was rich with historical facts and imagery. Well written historical romance.
