“Very Veggie Bedtime Prayers” (VeggieTales) *christian book review and giveaway!*

This soft padded board book is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers ages 2-5 and was just released last week!

There are all the traditional Veggie Tale characters in this book like Larry the Cucumber, Bob the Tomato, Junior the Asparagus. Each page has bright crisp pictures along with rhyming prayers on each page. There are also little scripture references on some of the pages as well. This book would be ideal to read out loud to your child before bed, as well as helping older children learn to read and word recognition.

I like that each title of the prayer is a different color so parents can also work on color recognition as well. Very well written and a fun book to add to your Veggie Tales collection!

“Sometimes it’s hard to get to sleep,
although I try my best.
Please calm my thoughts and feelings, Lord,
and help my body rest.”

“If My Husband Would Change, I’d Be Happy” by Rhonda Stoppe *Christian Marriage Book Study* #NoRegretsMarriage

“If My Husband Would Change, I’d Be Happy” by Rhonda Stoppe FREE online book study group starts Feb 2nd!

Every Friday the author will ask questions, videos, comments etc. on the current chapter. The book study is located in the private Facebook group called “Mentor Me to Be a No Regrets Woman” Link is below.

I read this book last year for blog review and really liked it so I can’t wait to read it again with a group and really study it over these next several weeks!

About the book:
Like most brides on their wedding day, you no doubt were filled with love for your husband and the hope of a happy life together. But perhaps today, as the realities of life together have settled in, those happy expectations are going unfulfilled. And it’s tempting to think, “If only my husband would change, I’d be happy.”

That myth is but one of many that Rhonda Stoppe dispels in her easy-to-read exploration of what it takes to experience a truly happy marriage. In the process, she addresses such important topics as

understanding your husband’s need for your unconditional respect
rekindling the love that drew you to your husband in the first place
refusing to believe the lie that you’d be happier married to someone else
learning to be content in the midst of financial struggles
thinking about sex from a biblical worldview
If you desire to rekindle the love and hope you felt on your wedding day, this book will go a long way toward making that dream come true.

Contains discussion questions and personal reflections at the end of each chapter.

“Six Days to Live” by Kenneth M. Page *book review*

“Six Days to Live” by Kenneth M. Page

This story was a great, fast pace, survival suspense. I found it easy to read and read it in one night because I enjoyed the story line and wanted to see how it would end. I was on the edge my seat wondering what would happen to Addison and whether her husband Chase would find her before Eddie kills again. Due to the nature of this book, there is violence but it is not graphic in any way.

I loved that the author left it open to make more books with these characters-maybe even a series. Highly recommend this clean, suspenseful action book!

I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

Description
•••••
Sometimes disaster is simply a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Take Addison Roberts, for example: it is a deadly coincidence that in a crowded parking lot one day, she catches the eye of a dangerous criminal on the run. In his desperation to evade the police, what he needs is a way out—and Addison and her car are his ticket to escape.
Lieutenant Chase Roberts, on leave from his military assignment, is anxious to be reunited with his wife. Yet as night falls and Addison fails to appear, Chase feels a rising sense of foreboding. Hours quickly become days as he desperately works with authorities to find the woman he loves. But after being named a person of interest, Chase is warned away from the investigation—a mandate he ignores. Chase will stop at nothing to find his wife, and what he ultimately discovers is terrifying: Addison has been carjacked by a man who has killed before and has no scruples against killing again . . .
