“Beneath Copper Falls” is another book is the “Rock Harbor” novel series.

Dana moves to Rock Harbor to escape an abusive fiancé and tries to start her life over with the help of her brother Chris. Dana is a 911 operator because she likes to help others and doesn’t want others to experience the hurt and pain that she has felt in her life.

I absolutely loved this book! It had a good steady pace with lots of drama and suspense from beginning to end. I could not put the book down because half way thru I suspected something and couldn’t wait to finish the book to see if I was right. I was gasping and riveted throughout the entire book!

I won’t be letting my teenager read this book because I feel like it is too dark for him since this story deals with abuse and a serial killer. I am truly shocked with how evil some people can be or become.

Author Colleen Coble has done it again with writing another amazing book! I highly recommend her for suspenseful christian drama.

“Double Eagle Double Cross” by M. R. Durbin

This story have lots of historical facts, drama and suspense as Charley returns home to spend time with his family and discovers interesting things his deceased father has left behind for him.

I learned a lot of interesting facts about ancient coins including history of the double eagle coin.

The book begins with a scene from 1902 which makes sense further on in the book, then jumps to modern-day times. Near death experiences, break ins, mysterious texts…lots of drama and a good steady pace to this story!

The Return (Amish Beginnings) by Suzanne Woods Fisher
Book 3 of 3 in the Amish Beginnings Series

I enjoyed this story even though I haven’t read the other two books in the series.

It was hard to read about the Indian attacks and the hatred that both the Indians and settlers had for each other. Some Amish settlers felt strongly that all Indians were bad, and some like the Bauer family, decided to leave things in God’s hands and have faith and not hatred towards their fellow men. Some parts were a little graphic but most of the story would be fine for young adults and adult readers.

I did feel a little lost in the beginning of the book because I didn’t know who the different families were but quickly figured it out and enjoyed reading about them and the time period. Benjamin Franklin even made an appearance! Very well written, historical fiction christian book!
