“Caribbean Crossroads” by Connie E. Sokol book review and GIVEAWAY!

Caribbean Crossroadsby Connie SokolBlog Tour$25 Amazon Gift Card GiveawayFebruary 22 - February 29 (1)

This was an easy, clean, romantic book to read. I really enjoyed that the story was on a cruise ship-it made me feel like I was right there with all of them!

I liked the love story between the main characters Megan and Bryant but sometimes it was troubling to read all of Megan’s emotional baggage and her mood swings. She has a great friend, Jillian, who is with her on the cruise and helps her see that getting past bad relationships and struggles can be worth it.

I felt like this book was geared towards younger readers in their 20s and not for more mature people who understand more about relationships and love. It was a little too much emotional drama for me.

I received a complimentary copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review on my blog and social media-all opinions are my own.

Book Summary:
New college grad Megan McCormick just got dumped. Hard. Swearing off men and relationships, Megan is coaxed into performing on a cruise ship where she meets the star performer, Bryant Johnson. Handsome and charismatic, he looks like trouble, but she can’t deny the intense attraction between them. Urged to find a wife and run the family lumber business, Bryant is torn between his family’s expectations for his life and his own. However, when he meets spunky, but love-skittish Megan McCormick, settling down doesn’t look so bad. Just when Megan begins to trust again, and Bryant makes some big decisions regarding his future, her former fiance returns with a malicious surprise, taking Megan and Bryant to their own CARIBBEAN CROSSROADS.

In case you haven’t heard, FULLER HOUSE has been released TODAY on Netflix! In honor of this special event (Yes I’m totally excited about it and yes I’m watching as much as I can this weekend!) I decided to post a fun Fuller House Fitness Challenge and also share the MomsRunThisTown Fuller House running/walking challenge!

Thats TWO fitness challenges that you can do this weekend during and after you watch some tv.

Fuller House Fitness Challenge with EmpowerMoms:

**Every time you hear “How Rude“, do 3 push-ups

**Every time you hear “Cut It Out“, do 3 plank jacks

**Every time you hear “Have Mercy“, do 3 squats

**Every time the audience says “Awwww“, do 3 jumping jacks

I tried to make it as simple as possible to remember. Only 5 phrases and you only have to do that specific exercise 3 times each phrase! Thats it!

And just for fun, keep track of what you do per episode and let me know how you did!

Blue Ribbon Trail Ride (Horses and Friends #4) by Miralee Ferrell

61fOzm8FqJL

I gave this four book series to my 14 year old son to read and this was his review for specially book number 4:

I think that the book is best suited for girls ages 8-11 because its about horses and it’s written from Kate’s standpoint who is a girl.

Overall it was a good book and I thought the plot was excellent. I liked the mystery part of the story.

“Blue Ribbon Trail Ride” is the 4th book in this series and I found the whole series good to read.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from LitFuse Publicity in exchange for an honest review on my blog and social media-all opinions are my own.

About the book:
Thirteen-year old Kate and her friends came up with the perfect way to raise money for her autistic younger brother and others to attend summer camp—a horse scavenger hunt! As local businesses donate money and prizes, Kate keeps the entry fees in her mom’s antique jewelry box.

But when the box and the money disappear, Kate and her friends must unravel the clues, hold on to hope, and solve the mystery along the Blue Ribbon Trail Ride.
