Susan Meyers is an optimist who believes the world would be better served if everyone were more aligned with their greater purpose. The challenge as she sees it is not only to serve one’s purpose but also to adapt as it changes from time to time.

While Susan has worn many hats throughout her life, serving as CEO of her children’s business, 3 Sisters and a Brother, LLC is the role of which she is most proud. It began in the family’s basement when they were just 12, 12, 10, and 7 and soon expanded into two storefronts; within less than eight years, it became a well-known brand in the local community.

As time passed and each of the children began to take flight, Susan and her family made the decision to close the business. With each of her four children off pursuing their own individualized dreams and careers, Susan had to deal with a new title; unemployed CEO; as well as the closed doors that it represented for her more personally.

Finding herself questioning her own purpose and determined to regain it, Susan invested her time looking for answers. It soon became clear that none of the information she found talked to her concerns or even spoke the same language.

Eventually, Susan was reminded of what she already knew and in the hope of helping others facing similar challenges, was moved to write The Decorating Club.

MY REVIEW

I highly recommend reading these books in order! They just keep getting better and better. If you enjoy time travel drama, you will love this series! and even if you don’t usually read time travel (I don’t), then give this series a try anyway and see if you like it.

Stone desperately keeps going back in time to try to fix past mistakes that he keeps doing by going back in time, along with solving cold crimes-which is the whole point in having the gift of going back in time.

Every book has usually ended with a cliffhanger and once I get started reading, I don’t like to stop until I’m done.

The characters, especially Stone and his wife Eve are relatable and the story flow is intriguing, heartbreaking, and interesting to read.

“What is happiness? Is it a place? a time? a choice? I am afraid of the answer. Because if it is either of the former two, it’s lost to me.”

MY REVIEW

I have read other books in this series and this one was just as good! Lots of laughs, great characters, interesting story line that kept my interest from beginning to end!

Boone and Vivien were great together although opposites; and they kept me laughing all throughout the story with their energy and enthusiasm.

Clean, Christian romance that will definitely make you smile! I loved it!

My Review

I have read other books by this author so I was really excited to read this one. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would. There seemed to be too many characters with unusual names so I had a hard time keeping track or who was who. The story line didn’t flow with me or keep my interest like I was hoping. I have read other food type mystery books but this one feel flat for me. I think I will stick with reading just her Love Inspired Suspense books in the future.

Freakshakes. The name says it all, right? Allow me to explain. A freakshake is a milkshake festooned with so many extras (sprinkles, cookies, candy, donuts, cake, slabs of pie) that it is hardly liftable. It is the stuff my sugar fantasy dreams are made of! Now picture a freakshake shop called the Shimmy and Shake in the quaint and quirky town of Upper Sprocket in Eastern Oregon. Known as the “Swiss Alps” of Oregon, this fictional place is the new home to a woman named Trinidad Jones, a lady starting out on the second phase of her life after her husband’s betrayal. Sprinkle in a dose of Papa Luis, her darling Cuban grandfather (inspired by my own Cuban grandfather) who drives a classic Buick, and a devoted service dog flunk out named Noodles. You know what’s missing? A murder, of course! That happens shortly after Trinidad opens her new shop, and from there on out it’s a sticky, spine tingling, sweet and satisfying and slightly funny adventure in mystery land. I had an absolute blast writing the first installment in this series, and I’m knee deep in the second as I write this.
