MY REVIEW

This was my first time reading and reviewing an audio book! (truly!) I enjoyed listening to it in the car back and forth to work every morning after I dropped my son off at summer camp.

I learned that I need to work on having more peaceful responses to the chaos of life instead of letting the daily events and to do lists stress me out and cause stress to family members.

I liked that she emphasized the importance of being a godly mother and using the Bible and older women as an example and for help.

I learned the importance of seeking after the Lord in every situation and to not let daily events determine my emotions for the day. Which is hard to do by the way! I liked all the practical advice and scripture references.

I have read books by this author and have really enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed listening to this book.

MY REVIEW

Book 3 was even better than the last two books!

A brief recap was given in the first chapter about time travel , how Stone got the watch, how the time travel works and the purpose behind it; which is really helpful since these books come out every couple months and sometimes I forget specifics.

I definitely liked book 3 better than book 2 because it was less traumatic for Stone in regards to his wife and daughter. It’s interesting how Stone continues to use his time travel to try to help others and to solve cold cases, while still trying not to change too much that it alters his future.

Typically I don’t read time travel books, but this series has been incredible to read and once I start reading the book I don’t put it down until I finish. The characters are great, and the flow of the book is intriguing and easy to read.

I really like the conversation that Stone had with his dad during one section of the book- about “ wishes and what if‘s don’t change things. The only thing that matters is right now.”

I can’t wait to read book 4- Set in Stone!

MY REVIEW

This story was easy to read with great characters. It made me laugh and cry. I loved reading about Abe and Rosemary‘s friendship and how well they got along together. It made me sad that they allowed their family and insecurities to get in the way of their relationship.

I loved Rosemary‘s daughter Georgia and Grannie. They definitely added a great family element to the story. It’s amazing how innocent children can help and heal others. I was especially intrigued by Abe’s gym transformation and his growing business since I am a group fitness instructor.

This love inspired inspirational clean romance was an uplifting story about finding forgiveness, hope and love. Absolutely loved it!

MY REVIEW

I loved reading about the ins and outs of this hotel, the management and the specific area of Nantucket.

The chapters alternated between the main characters points of view and what was going on in their life; Paula, Andrea, Bella and Nick. Because the hotel has been in the family for generations there were alot of family and extended family involved and sometimes it was hard to keep track of who was who, but it was still fun to read about the family dynamics.

There seemed to be an extreme amount of drinking alcohol, which I don’t know if that’s common for foodies, but it was like every other page of the book was talking about their drinks  which I didn’t like because it seemed excessive.

Overall though, I enjoyed the book and getting to know the characters and family connections in this clean, women’s fiction book.
