Distance Too Grand (American Wonders Collection)by Regina Scott

I enjoyed this alot more than I thought I would! This story had an interesting plot with a steady pace and breathtaking descriptions of The Grand Canyon in the late 1870s. Great characters including spunky photographer Meg as she travels out west with an expedition group. I also liked Dot the cook, Captain Ben and the other staff in the traveling group.

Clean romance and fun western adventure that I highly recommend reading! Can’t wait to read more in this collection!

“Mistaken Reality” by Traci Hunter Abramson

I liked how all the different people in the book-Hadley, JD, Noah, Kelsey… all had one purpose-to protect, serve and find out the truth. Once I started reading, I didn’t want to put the book down! I especially liked Hadley as she works with JD to uncover the truth about her ex-boyfriend. Even while running for her life, she continues to ask questions to help uncover clues and answers. I loved how passionate she was about her 3rd grade kids and teaching them and protecting them.

Kidnapping, child trafficking, murder-lots of action (and twists and turns!) from beginning to end. I found myself holding my breath and was completely riveted during this entire book. Highly recommend-you will not want to stop reading!

Biography

Dark Ambitions (Code of Honor Book #3) by Irene Hannon

“Dark Ambitions” is a fast paced drama full of political ambitions, secrets, murder and intrigue. Heather and her PI team are hired by Rick to figure out what happened to an old army buddy of his when he goes missing after leaving behind clues for them.

I liked how the team worked together to agree on strategies moving forward with the case, especially as it got more complicated. There were lots of twist and turns and multiple “bad guys” in the story which kept me on the edge of my seat.

Rick was a great character-honest, hardworking, and worked great with Heather and her team. I liked the clean romance between Rick and Heather, while still keeping it professional as they worked the case.

Highly recommend this book and series! I loved it and read it from cover to cover without putting it down!

“The Promise Bride” (A Montana Brides Romance Book 1) by Becca Whitham & Gina Welborn

Emilia promises herself to Finn as a mail order bride and travels from Chicago to Montana with her family to start a new life with him. Upon arrival she learns of his untimely death and decides to stay in the small town to pay off his debts and made a new life by herself.

I loved the main character Emilia and her wit, determination, honesty, and hard working attitude. Nothing seemed to discourage her or deter her from improving her life for her family and working the ranch. I also liked Sheriff Mac and how he helped the new family and townspeople through out the book. This story had lots of laughs with some clean romance and drama set in the late 1880s.

I really enjoyed it! I read it cover to cover and can’t wait to read the next book in this series to find out more about the town people’s stories!

“Secrets and Suitors” by Joanna Barker

Sweet regency romance about love, loss, forgiveness & trust. I absolutely loved this story! Nora was an amazing character-shy, quiet, proper but determined to find love in her life. I love reading about the society rules and proper ways of dress and acting during that time period.

This author makes this time period fun to read, not stuffy or boring. I also liked seeing the progression of Nora’s family throughout the story and I loved Nora and James friendship and banter back and forth.

This story left me smiling and hopeful. Great characters, great story!
