“The Truth About Miss Ashbourne” by Joanna Barker

Typically I don’t read books from the regency time period, but I really enjoyed the story line and characters. I loved the main character Juliana and her determination to learn and to teach. She kept me laughing throughout the entire book! William Rowley was also a fantastic character and I enjoyed their friendly banter back and forth.

The story line kept my interest from beginning to end-I really enjoyed it! It was a nice story about love, forgiveness and family.

“At First Glance” by Susan Tuttle

I really enjoyed this book!

Penny was a great character and I loved her friendship and banter back and forth with Jonah. They were great characters and really funny and relatable. I also enjoyed some of the secondary characters like Penny’s dad and Jonah’s sister & son.

I felt badly for Penny’s strained relationship with her mom and sister as we readers got a glimpse into their family dynamics and why things were like that. But I like how the complicated relationships tied the story together. Good steady pace, interesting characters and plot, christian romance that was funny, heartwarming and real life stuff.

I really enjoyed this story!

Even though I’m not familiar with high priced jewelry, I enjoyed reading about the different kinds of jewels and Gracie’s travels abroad. I loved the main characters-Gracie, Quinn and Mrs. Katsaros. I loved how they worked together to solve a jewelry heist mystery. I loved reading about the sites and their travels to Greece. The author did a great job with maintaining a steady, interesting plot. Clean romance with some drama and suspense that I really enjoyed.
