About the Book
One month to a great relationship…with anyone!

Think of your toughest relationship. Think of a relationship that is good but could be great. Think of a group of people that drives you nuts. You want to show more kindness and generosity, but sometimes you’re just tired, stretched, and frustrated. Besides, would small actions make that big a difference? Yes!

After years of extensive research, Shaunti Feldhahn has concluded that kindness is a superpower. It can change any relationship, make your life easier and better, and transform our culture. But how does it work? And how can you show kindness when you don’t feel like it?

In The Kindness Challenge, Shaunti explores….
* Three simple acts that make all the difference in any relationship (with a spouse, child, co-worker, brother-in-law…)
* Whether kindness is ever the wrong approach
* The seven ways you may be unkind and never realize it
* Eight types of kindness—and which might be the best fit for you
* Ten sneaky obstacles that get in the way of giving praise
* Practical ways to persevere when kindness is tough
* How kindness in marriage leads to benefits in the bedroom (yes, really!)
* Why your acts of kindness today can help transform the world

With self-assessments, day-to-day tips, a 30-day challenge, and specific kindness ideas, The Kindness Challenge can make your toughest relationships better and your good relationships great—starting today.

Try the 30 Day Kindness Challenge and be a part of a kindness revolution in your home, your world, and yourself.

What community empowers you?

We love our #sweatpink community, but we also recognize there are so many groups that inspire and encourage! There is strength in numbers. Perhaps you are inspired by your coworkers, Tuesday morning workout crew, mommy-and-me playgroup, or your family (we know that’s true for our cousin co-founders, Alyse and Jamie)! Give them a shout out today and thank them for encouraging you.

My local fitness group that I lead, inspires and empowers me! I love working out with them weekly!

“Restoring Christmas” by Cynthia Ruchti *Christian Christmas novel*

Restoring Christmas by Cynthia Ruchti

618chyzgjql

Alexis travels to a small town in Wisconsin to compete for a place on the upcoming “Restoring Christmas” program with the Heart-and-Home channel. She has 8 weeks before Christmas to restore and professionally decorate a home while filming the process. Alexis has grand plans for the home but the homeowner wants something completely different and nothing seems to be working out with the rest of the crew either.

Cute Christmas story! This novel is 259 pages-NOT a novella (short story) as advertised in the amazon description. I really enjoyed this Christian romance story. This was my first book read by this author.

I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

About the Book
Alexis Blake has one chance to land her own show on the Home Project Network and nothing, not an uncooperative client, a job site without indoor plumbing, or a challenging videographer, is going to stand in her way. Elsie, at seventy-plus, is far from the ideal client, but she knows exactly what she wants her fieldstone house to look like, and no designer can tell her otherwise. Gabe Langley, the man with the camera, is caught in the middle and it is his wisdom and warmth that just may be the bridge that will bring these two women together. Can they restore more than just a house and bring about special, almost lost forever Christmas memories?

Try one thing outside of your comfort zone.

Maybe it’s trying a new workout or speaking up at work. What’s one thing you can do today to push yourself outside of your comfort zone? “Progress always involves risks. You can’t steal second base and keep your foot on first.” – Frederick Wilcox

I tried two new things last week! I did a cycle class at the gym and then took a dance fitness class with a friend. Neither one was my favorite, but I’m glad I tried new things!!

Share your favorite inspirational quote. What motto motivates, inspires, and empowers you? Share it with us.

I have lots of motivational quotes that I keep in my home gym and around my house to keep my motivated.

This is one of my favorite ones. It reminds me to do the best that I can and not compare myself to others and to do better than I did the day before.
