This is my first book that I’ve read by Sandra Byrd and I absolutely loved it! Rebecca Ravenshaw moves to India with her family from England, at a very young age. After their deaths she returns to her family home in England, only to find out a woman pretending to be Rebecca had recently died in the home. Now everyone wants to know who Rebecca is, and who was the woman pretending to be Rebecca months earlier? What do the servants know and what is Captain Luke hiding?
This story kept me guessing and although it took me a couple days to read, I had a hard time putting it down because I wanted to finish it right away. I learned alot about England and India history while reading this clean, christian book which takes place during the year 1858. I highly recommend reading this book if you like historical, dramatic fiction!
Synopsis
