Swept Away (Quilts of Love #23) by Laura V. Hilton and Cindy Loven -Book Review

I have read a couple of the “Quilts of Love” books and although they are all unique with different story lines, they all center around a quilt which I think is really neat.

This book, Swept Away, was about Sara who is staying with her Grandmother and trying to take care of her because of her failing memory. She meets handyman Andrew, and both of their first impressions of each other are not flattering. But Grandma continues to ask Andrew to come over to the house to help with fixing things as shes trying to play matchmaker with Andrews and her grand daughter Sara.

I only read half the book because I couldn’t get into the characters and how they were acting/treating each other. I will still continue to read books from this Quilts of Love series but I didn’t care for this particular book.

BOOK DESCRIPTION:
Sara doesn’t think she wants love. But her grandmother has other plans.

Sara Jane Morgan is trying to balance teaching with caring for her ailing, stubborn grandmother. When school lets out for the summer, the plans are for Grandma to teach Sara Jane to quilt as they finish up the Appalachian Ballad quilt Grandma started as a teenager. But things don’t always go as planned.

Andrew Stevenson is hiding from his past—and his future. He works as a handyman to pay the bills, but his heart is as an artisan, designing homemade brooms. When Sara Jane’s grandmother hires him to renovate her home, sparks fly between Drew and his new employer’s granddaughter.

Still, it doesn’t take Sara Jane long to see Drew isn’t what he seems. Questions arise, and she starts researching him online. What she discovers could change her life—and her heart—forever.

I was given this book complimentary from LitFuse Publicity in exchange for an honest review on my blog and social media-all opinions are my own.

Resistance Bands Set by Cynergy Fitness

Resistance Bands Set with 5 Bands, Door Anchor, Ankle Strap, Hand Grips Starter Manual and Resistance Band Carrying Bag by Cynergy Fitness:

I received this set complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

I really like this resistance band kit! It came in a nice bag with a guide, 5 bands, 2 handles, 2 ankle straps and a door anchor. The 4 page guide tells you how the bands work and what exercises you can do with the bands, including how to use the door anchor.

The handles are very easy to hook on and off the bands, and all the bands seem very sturdy whether you use the ankle straps or handle straps. My husband was very impressed with this kit. and you can’t beat the price!

We can’t wait to use this resistance band kit more this upcoming year!

I received this dvd complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

I feel like I am very dance challenged so I was very excited to try this Swing dvd. I went to the menu-then scene selection and picked one “movement” at a time. Once you pick a movement (like The Basic Step for example), then you have the options to learn the step with the demo, mens breakdown, womens breakdown, dance men/women together, and dance together with music. The instructors are VERY clear and easy to follow. They show you the steps from a couple angles, as well as the different breakdowns mentioned above.
