The book starts out by quoting Proverbs 4:23 (tev) which reads “Be careful how you think, your life is shaped by your thoughts”.

Isn’t that so true? I need to constantly remind myself that my negative self talk affects my moods and how I deal with those around me. I’m not negative to others, so I’m not sure why I feel like its okay to to be negative to myself.

What I loved about this book is that the author shared personal experiences, she asked questions and then left room in the book for journaling thoughts/answers, shared scripture references, and shared her personal testimony at the end.

Quick reading and a good reference to share with others who are struggling with negative self talk or negativity in their life. “God is always present and ready to help when you are in trouble.”

Jillian Michaels “Shred it with weights” kettlebell dvd review

I tried this Jillian Michaels workout for the first time and really liked it!! I used my empower kettlebell set that goes from 5 to 8 to 12 pounds.

Using a kettlebell or a single hand weight, Shred-It With Weights helps you build lean muscle and burn mega calories with two 30-minute boot camp workouts. Begin with Level 1 and progress to Level 2 for maximum body- shredding results. Stick with Jillian’s program for 30 days and you could see a lean, shredded body.

There are two level options. I did level 1.

She has the modifier on the right.

My son came down to my exercise area and saw me working out and said “hey I have one of these things” (kettlebell) and ran to get his and joined me! 🙂

I REALLY enjoyed this workout!! If you don’t have a kettlebell, you can use a handweight which she also demonstrates in the dvd. The workouts are about 30 minutes long and kept my heart rate up the whole time. I can’t wait to do it again and then move to level 2.

I finished this book last night and I cried. It was a well written, emotional, heart felt story about a boy and girl in love, and the relationship between that same boy and his grandfather.

The story line was easy to follow even though it jumped back and forth a couple times from present day to the past. The book followed both Clayton and Eden’s life up to the present day. “Clean” book about love, hope and forgiveness.
