Week 1 of “The Great Walk 100 day Summer Challenge” video suggestions

Welcome to week 1 of “The Great Walk 100 day Summer Challenge” from 5/29– 6/4.

Remember: Our goal is to be consistent so even if you can’t do 100 days of walking in a row, do the best you can and listen to your body.

If you CAN do a walk every day, it is VERY important that you mix it up by doing gentle walks, longer walks, shorter walks, indoor walks, outdoor walks, etc.

    June 3- Water aerobics this morning at the Y. 1 mile gentle walk this evening with Rachel.

    Went for morning walk and exercise video lunch time and had 2.5 miles today. This was my down day had physical therapy.was a hot and rainy afternoon .

    Started the challenge at List River State Park in WV. Beautiful park went on hikes with Alan and Angel sometimes. She loved water and given chance she was in cooling off. On May 27th we hiked 2.88 after short rain. May 28th hiked 2.62 up mountain enjoying MtLaurel that was blooming. May 29th we hiked 3.26 along Lost River enjoying cool shade and views. May 30th we hiked 1.31 before heading home from our weekend in the cabin celebrating our Anniversary and hubby Birthday.

    May 30, Did Cardio Ball Walk today. Water Yoga at the Y. Loved the exercise, but it was very noisy in the pool room with children and families. I called it learning to get peace and serenity in the storm with all the noise. Ha! We will make the best of it this summer. Also, did arthritis class. Got my 8,000 steps today.

    2 mile total body circuit w/wgts (ur video of 2 yes ago) and
    1 mi walk & step and
    30 min evening walk.
    Total 4.9 miles for 5/29

    I started the day with the 2 Mile gentle walk with Rachel. Later I walked outside with the family and our dogs for 20 minutes.
    Look forward to doing the walks that are suggested!

    Hi all. Walked my dirt road today to figure my mile. 2400 steps for me (half uphill) and 22 minutes. Will do a video tomorrow to see inside. This is so much fun.

    I did the Disney one mile, the Mile with the band and the one mile gentle walk today! Some of these were new to me. Felt good to get 3 done.
