“Storm Front” (Montana Rescue #5) by Susan May Warren

This is such an incredible book and series! I absolutely love this author and her writing style and all the plots and characters she comes up with for her stories.

“Storm Front” is book 5 of the Montana Rescue series. I have read all of the books and in order, but they can be read as stand alone books. I prefer to read them in order for character and relationship development.

This was a great, fast pace story with lots of drama and some romance. Warning: once you pick this book up, you won’t be able to stop so be prepared to read this all in one sitting. 😉 I can’t wait to read more books in this series. The Peak Rescue Team is a great team of friends and family who are loyal and have a strong connection to each other and to helping others around them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

“Everything She Wants” by Sarah Alva

I really enjoyed this sweet story! Lucy deals with real issues with being engaged to a man who she isn’t sure is right for her, but is the perfect match on paper. She tries to do whats right and to be a good christian mormon girl but doesn’t know what her life and future will hold. While escaping her present life drama, Lucy meets airplane pilot Emerson while heading to London with some girl friends.

Emerson has had his share of issues and grief and after many years decides its time to go back to church. Through out the book he struggles with his faith and desire to stay away from women and alcohol so he can be a better christian man.

As Lucy and Emerson continue to run into each other in London, they hit it off and enjoy talking and spending time together. I really liked their chemistry and how their friendship blossomed.

This story had a good steady pace with laughs, drama and romance. I liked that the story continued past their London vacation. I read this book in one night because I really enjoyed it and wanted to see if it had a “happily ever after” ending.

I really, really liked this book! Good steady plot with great characters! This story is #2 in the Cimarron Creek Trilogy but they can be read as stand alone books.

Austin and his daughter move to Cimarron Creek to escape a wanted dangerous criminal from their hometown. As a former surgeon/doctor, Austin must pose as a rancher and establish a new life for him and his daughter. He meets school teacher Catherine and as they work together to help his daughter and fellow neighbors, he has to decide if he can trust her with his secret.

I really loved the characters in this book. Catherine is passionate about helping her school kids and especially Austin’s daughter Hannah. I love reading about the small town and how they interact and help each other, especially in time of need.

Well written christian romance with some drama. I can’t wait to read book #3 in this series!

Hurricane Season: A Southern Novel of Two Sisters and the Storms They Must Weather by Lauren K. Denton

I really enjoyed this story! Good steady plot and characters. The chapters alternate between Ty, Betsy and Jenna point of view; so readers get a feel of each character and how they are feeling and experiencing.

I could relate to Betsy’s heartache of not being able to have children, while still having to take care of her nieces and other children visiting the farm. I could also relate to Jenna’s frustration of having children at a young age and not knowing what to do with her life and trying to provide for her family and do what she thinks would be best.

I liked reading the family interactions between the 2 girls and Aunt Betsy and Uncle Ty. They were so patient with teaching the girls the chores of the dairy farm and gardening. I also liked how Betsy and Ty used prayer and communication to work thru their marriage struggles.

Christian romance and general fiction book-the characters and story line was down to earth and relatable for readers. I enjoyed this story from start to finish!
