This novella (short story) by Julie Bellon takes place after book 1 of the Hostage Negotiation Team. This book contains 8 chapters and is very quick, fun reading.

It follows Rafe and Claire as they return back from their mission in Afghanistan, and back to “real life” as they start to date and get to know each other romantically. Claire continues to stay very busy as her job as a Hostage Team Negotiator, but because of Rafe’s injury he is no longer part of the SEAL team and doesn’t know where he fits in.

I absolutely love this series by author Julie Coulter Bellon and this novella doesn’t disappoint! Would definitely recommend this clean fiction!

Last week I discovered a new fitness app and I LOVE it!! It’s like Instagram, only just fitness and health. whoohoo!! It’s called BURN THIS and its only available in itunes for apple products right now. I heard that they were making an android app soon so stay tuned for that.

Here’s a brief tutorial and pictures on how to use the app.

This is the main screen that comes up when you first open the app.

This is your main wall. You can choose to see Activity, New and Friends tabs.

If you click on the next bottom button, you can use the search for friends or invite your friends to use the app.

When you click on the middle plus sign button, you go to this screen. This allows you to take a picture, upload a picture from your camera roll, write something motivational. You can change the color and font as well from this screen.

The next button is the challenges screen. You can join others in different challenges and win prizes.

The last tab is the Me screen which shows your profile, followers, about you, and all the photos you post.

I’ve found this app really easy to figure out, and have really enjoyed using it this week.

Not only does this book address physical beauty, but inner beauty and grace as well. The author uses personal stories and scripture stories for each chapter which I really liked. It is beautifully and prayerfully written.

I love in chapter 7 that she gives us 3 things to think about when we are “tempted to focus on our physical flaws”. Instead we should be reminded of God’s truth and our purpose here on earth by; “See the Goodness”, “See the Blessing” and “See the Purpose”.

I also liked that each chapter ended with group discussion questions, as well as personal journaling questions; so this book would be perfect for a book club or personal study.
